Universal Literature

The subject of Universal Literature of the Baccalaureate allows the appropriation of a map of shared references – works and authors of the universal heritage; aesthetic movements; genres and subgenres; themes, topics, archetypes, symbols, etc. recurring throughout history–, while inviting critical questioning of a canon that has left out a large part of the works written by women or by non-Western authors.
